Civil Rights groups file war crimes suit against Rumsfeld

Civil rights groups filed a suit with German prosecutors on Tuesday seeking war crimes charges against outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for the alleged abuse of detainees at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo prisons.

While it makes me glad to see this. But it is woefully too little too late. I wonder how he’s going to wiggle out of this one. I would like to see him and all his neocon buddies on trial at the Hague. Whatever moral authority this country may have previously had is all gone now. So much of the ill will toward this country can be attributed to this man. That will be his legacy.
